DIY Christmas Crackers

These cute colorful DIY Christmas crackers take about 10 minutes to make. They come with free printable labels which you can print, cut and adhere to the crackers. You can edit the labels so if you don’t want to use them as is then you can change the text. For example, you can personalize the message with your guest’s name.

I made one for each of the kids and they were not only fun to receive but they added color to the Christmas lunch table. My mom and husband both remarked that grown-ups should have been included too! Next year I’ll make one for the adults as well J! I’ll put candy in theirs.

Required Equipment:

Printer
Plain cardstock (if the gifts are small then you can use toilet paper rolls)
Colored tissue paper (one sheet per cracker)
Colored ribbons
Little gifts that can be tied to the crackers (optional)
Small long gifts
Cello tape

How to Make the DIY Christmas Crackers

Place the small gifts on the cardstock and roll up the cardstock.

Use cello tape to seal each roll.
If you have different gifts in each then don’t forget to write your guests names on each roll.
Roll tissue paper around the cardstock rolls.

Repeat the steps above to make as many crackers as you will need.

Tie a ribbon to each end. If you want to use little gifts then attach them to the cracker with the ribbon.

Print the labels or use the editable version that can be personalized.

Cut them out and adhere one to each cracker.

Apple Cider DIY Gift Box

This DIY gift box includes glasses or mugs, apple cider concentrate and inside each glass, I put dried apples and a cinnamon stick. You can also add cloves, nutmeg, allspice or even a bottle of rum. It makes a great DIY gift for those who are watching their weight or prefer a healthy gift to candy or chocolate.

You can personalize the apple food labels if you want to change the text or add a message. They can be used if you would like to gift any of the following products and add your own personalized label or gift tag: apple sauce, apple preserve, apple butter, apple chips, apple cookies, cider, apple muffins, apple pie, caramel apples / candy apple.

You will need:

Cardstock or paper to print the labels
A colored printer
Scissors
A gift box
Glasses or mugs
Elastic bands or ribbons
A bottle of apple cider concentrate
A bottle of rum (optional)
Dried apples, cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg, all spice (optional)

Instructions:

Add whatever you want to the bottles. I added a piece of dried apple and a cinnamon stick.

Print the apple food label. You can personalize it if you want to change the text or add a message.

Cut out the label and punch a hole at the top.

Connect the custom labels to the bottles with an elastic band or a ribbon.

Wrap the bottle of cider concentrate (optional).

Put the glasses and cider concentrate in the gift box and wrap.

Or just put all contents in a gift box without wrapping it. If you do this then you can make another custom label for the box.

How to print the labels to make your own treasure hunt?

Each theme has two sets of labels. One set has 4 clues with space to write each clue. The other set has another 3 clues with the final card announcing that the treasure has been found. All text is totally customizable.
